What this ride costs
Sedans from Highlands Ranch to Denver International Airport start at a written flat rate, while SUVs start at $160. The rate covers the vehicle, fuel, and a professional chauffeur for the full duration of the trip. Terminal meet-and-greet inside the terminal, parking, luggage assistance, and extra stops are available for an additional charge. We quote flat rates so your invoice matches the quote exactly, with no meter running during the ride. Our dispatch team coordinates Denver rides through vetted local affiliate operators.
Roads we use
Most trips head east on C-470 from Highlands Ranch, then north on I-25 toward Denver. We connect to I-225 north toward Aurora, then east on Peña Boulevard, the main airport access road. Peña Boulevard leads directly to DIA terminals and is the standard final approach from the south. Some pickups near Santa Fe Drive can use I-25 north directly and skip C-470. The total distance is roughly 35 miles from Highlands Ranch Town Center to the terminal curb.
Drive time and traffic
Off-peak trips take 40 to 60 minutes from Highlands Ranch to the DIA terminal curb. Morning rush hour usually runs 50 to 75 minutes because of I-25 congestion through the central corridor. Evening rush and Broncos home games at Empower Field can push the drive to 65 to 85 minutes. Snow and low visibility on Peña Boulevard add another 15 to 25 minutes beyond the normal range. C-470 can back up near the I-25 interchange during both rush hours.
When to add buffer
Add 30 minutes for weekday rush hour when I-25 and C-470 are most congested. Add 45 minutes during Broncos games or when snow is forecast for the metro area. International flights deserve the most lead time because of longer check-in and security lines. We recommend leaving Highlands Ranch three hours before a domestic departure and three and a half hours before an international flight. Our dispatch team watches traffic and flight status in real time and updates departure timing when needed.
Pickup notes for Highlands Ranch
Highlands Ranch is a large planned community with many residential cul-de-sacs and gated neighborhoods. We prefer a specific street address and any gate codes for residential pickups to avoid confusion. Office buildings near Highlands Ranch Town Center are easier for curbside pickup than residential side streets. This keeps the vehicle from waiting at the wrong entrance or circling the neighborhood. Pre-arranged pickup details are especially important for early morning airport departures.
Event seasons to watch
Broncos home games at Empower Field add northbound I-25 pressure on fall Sundays. Summer concerts at nearby Fiddler's Green affect evening traffic on I-25 south of the DTC. Ski season Sunday afternoons bring returning traffic on I-70 and Peña, which can back up airport approaches from the east.
Vehicle choice
Sedans work well for one or two travelers with standard luggage on this route. SUVs fit three passengers with ski bags or multiple large suitcases more comfortably. Sprinter vans are available for larger groups on request and must be reserved in advance.
